PACO ROCHA'S ABSTRACT FIGURATIVE ART
Throughout his entire life, Paco Rocha has constantly searched for feelings, figures and colours, which he translates to the canvas in a natural way, with a personal approach divided in three stages:
"The first step is more intuitive, emotional, and free. I listen to music, look at photographs and become immersed in a journey. The second stage is abstraction, I hang the canvas and stand in front of it to see the textures. I look for perspectives, faces or any figurative connotation that appears through the lines. The last phase is more academic and is part of a figurative process. At this point I define the path of the work of art, with the help of visual artstechniques."
You can find more about Paco's art on his website and Instagram profile
Paco Rocha is Eno-Atelier permanent resident artist and Art DirectorPaco has held more than 20 exhibitions in several countries such as Italy, Spain, Korea, and England. Travelling has become an inspiration to discover and shape realities.
However, he is originally from Mexico, where he has held an exhibition at Frida Kalo's museum in January 2020. It is only natural that traditional Mexican art has influenced his work. In the meantime, he always strives to move away from traditional stereotypes in order to connect with contemporary society.
Through his work on shapes and colours, he continuously explores the state of current affairs. His work connects emotions with nature, experiences with people, feelings with society.
